I'm interested in getting a Tosh SD330E but am unsure if it plays DVD+Rs and DVD+RWs. Various reviews in the compatability list say it does, but Toshiba UKs tech support says that Toshiba's DVD players don't support the +R format. Is this the truth, and is anybody sure that the SD330 plays DVD+R/RWs.

I tried to play a DVD+R disc that a friend burnt for me using DVDXCopy Xpress and the Toshiba didn't read it. I called the Toshiba technical help line and they said officially the machine doesn't play +R and +RW but depending upon the media you use it will. The guy I spoke to said he had the same machine and he had played both +R and -R.
I guess it a case of give it a go, and see what happens. Checking out the DVD Player compatibility page, most people have been able to play -R and +R.
