  3. "If it works, don't fix it." - I have to agree with that, 9 version have some new features that you might like and only those shou make you upgrade if you like them. You will not gain any "better captures". Especialy in this stage of version 9...

Here are some posts that might help you to decide...
    Pinnacle Studio 9 - Video/Audio Plugins
Pinnacle Studio 9 and DV home video editing

  4. So far over all the Studio 9 appears to be more stable. If your in the middle of a big project I would finish it first. If your not then you may want to consider moving up due to the updated interface, plugin abilities, surround mixxing and faster rendering engine. Not to mention all the current discounts available for upgrading. I personally purchased the full version from Fry's for $69.99 and it had a $20 MIR making it $49.99. We have already seen 2 Free RTFX plugins released and I only imagine we will see even more in the future. While new, the Studio 9 still has a tendency to crash albeit not nearly as much as studio 8 and the back ground rendering seems to be more stable

I do hope that Pinnacle blows the clouds out of their faces and look to support the 8.5g Duel Layer DVD media. Something tells me they will but we will see.

    Good Luck on the Decision.

  7. donpedro, he is going to stick with Pinnacle Studio.

    hehe

kdx 125, just so you know, both donpedro and myself are very active in the Studio 9 forum. I have done quite a few Long dvd projects with Studio 8 and 9, and I know donpedro has put quite a bit of work through it also.
