There are 8 compression levels in the Application. Is the quality of a backup at 'Level 1' the same quality as a backup at 'Level 8' ..or.. does the quality of the image and sound deteriorate at the higher compression levels .... thanks to those who respond.

I am assuming you are talking about DVD Shrink. And I am sure that I must missunderstand the question because it seems a little too obvious.
Are you refering to the compression percentage shown when you either back up or re-author. If you are then the answer is yes, it will degrade completely. I find that anything above 60% will survive and still look very good. The higher you go to the better you will end up with. Obviously you have the limit of 4.3Gb to look at. This is why I tend to re-author just the movie and leave all the extras, menus etc behind. This is ensure that I usually get the movie nearer 70% which is very good quality.
Hope I am on the right track here. Also, I may be wrong here but I thought the numbered level were part of the older version 2 release of the software. Check if you are using this, if so upgrade to version 3.1.7 as it gives you far better options.----Figured it out yet?
