  1. Okay, I have a really weird problem now.

    I made a SVCD (2 minutes, 23 seconds) and tried playing it on my Apex AD-703 and it worked fine, or so I thought...

    At first, the audio is not synchronized. It comes in about 1 second late. The video is playing fine. Then, the video actually slows itself down so that the audio can catch up! That is very annoying because the first second of video has a cool startling audio "bang" effect to go with it and I can't hear it until about 1 second later. Then the framerate drops, then the audio catches up, and it plays fine.. for now.

    After like 45 seconds or so, the same thing happens. I hate it because it's really annoying. My guess is that my DVD player is having problems with the 3:2 pulldown on playback and starts playing the video too fast, then realizes that it is doing that, then slows down to sync with the audio, then plays fine for awhile, then it does it again.

    Help please! Thanks.

    By the way: Here's what I'm doing -

    Premiere 6 (.avi 23.976fps) --> TMPGEnc (MPEG2, 3:2 pulldown on playback) --> demuxTMPGEnc --> muxBBMPEG --> bin/cueVCDImager --> cueNero to CD-RW

    P.S. - PowerDVD freezes when I try to open the AVESQ00 (or whatever) mpg file that is on the SVCD I made.

  2. The problem lies with TMPG when the audio and video mix it does somthing that can be fine for some players but doesn't work as good with APEX, just use a diffrent encoder, I use XINGMPEG (u can get the full version with a file sharing prog. I use KaZaA http://www.download.com ). I had the same problem but looked around on VCDhelp.com
