  1. I have downloaded an avi file. In the beginning there is no problem but after a couple of minutes the sound is becomming all out of sync with the picture.

Can i fix this problem or is it wrong from the very beginning?

  2. hi,
u can maybe first try opening the avi file in virtual dub - go to audio and save the wav file - just for a back up .( if u use pal - make sure u save the wav as 44100hz)
when u have done that go to audio - and click on on advanced filtering.
again click on audio and click on filters.
click on add - double click on input rate, double click on new rate and double click on output rate. Close the box - u should have now 3 boxes on ur screen - click on new rate adjust this until ur film is sync!!! if the audio comes after someone speaks u need to increase the rate ( 9 hz is about 1 sec) if the audio comes before someone speaks u then need to reduce the rate - to slow down the audio. preview filtered - if it is good frame serve to tmpgenc. - Tip - it may help to cut the film into smaller pieces - audio sync with the filters is more accurate. the audio is not always perfect but as best u can get.

    good luck
