  2. Is there anyway to get this new prog to go more than 4 passes? As I have said, I have CCE 2.5 and when I set it up (thanks to the tips above by soundforbjt!) it only allows me to select up to 4 passes. I usually try for 5 to set things straight, especially if I am doing a LARGE project.

  3. i have a problem with this software. finished the whole process with no problems. its works great in powerdvd, however on my standalone pioneer dvd player there is no sound. this player has played every other dvdr i made with various transcoder programs. however this one doesnt seem to work. i went through the install steps as posted in the doom9 forum. i cant post in the doom9 forum about this since i just signed up to their forum and it makes you wait 5 days before you can post. so if anybody has any ideas what could be causing this or if you can post in the doom9 forum asking about this, please do so. running cce sp 2.50, newest version of avisynth, and i extracted the enitre dvd2avi dg into the avisynth plugins folder. used the three step process of dvdrb and it went through with no problems or errors.

This was mentioned in the tread over at doom9, the long and short is really anything over 4 passes seems to be overkill already so he didn't put an option in there. After 4 passes its really a dimishing returns type thing.

Really 4 passes? whew, I do 2 and 3 on a long movie.

  5. just 2 or 3 passes? What about a movie that is 3 hr 20 mins? I thought 5 passes sets the optimum bitrate?

I may have to give 2 or 3 passes a shot, save a little time!

  6. New Version out now...

In the new version there is a setting button to use with CCE. In the box there are 3 options. VBR_Bias and Qualiy Prec...What are the best settings for these? (the last setting is VBR Passes...I know what that does...)
