I ripped a dvd to svcd and burnt it w/ Nero. I used the same method for ripping as in the guide on this website. However, I can only play the disc on my dvd player and not on the PC. When playing on the PC with PowerDVD, it said 'unsupported format' or something like that. I can play svcd discs made by other ppl on my pc jus fine tho. Oh yea- and when playing my disc on my dvd player, i can only jump from track to track but can not fast forward or rewind within the same track. The screen would freeze when I tried to do so. What's going on? Where did I go wrong? Help!!!!! pls.

Try the latest WINDVD, it is better than Power DVD (It is full of bugs). You will never want to use the crappy Power DVD again.

Just another thing can you see any files on the disc in the Windows Explorer?

sound like perfectly normal behavior to me, or to anyone who owns an apex player or clone. use powerdvd file mode to play your disc; navigate to mpeg2/mpegav folder
