I did search the forum, but found nothing about this![]()
I'm using DVD2OneX to duplicate a DVD that's 4.8 GB in all: if I try the Movie Only option everything works fine, but if I simply copy the whole DVD (with such a low compression rate the loss in quality should be negligible) all I get is a 2.5 GB output VIDEO_TS folder, and the quality is awful.
I tried both the Copy Disk option and the trick Galactica suggested in his tutorial to preserve the menus and scene selection, but the result are the same. I'm using Constant Bit Rate - should I switch to Variable?
I'm just starting to use the application, so I'm probably missing something quite obvious. Any hints, anyone?
Thanks in advance.
JM

variable is probably what you want if your source is only 4.8 GB
the fact you get 2.5 gigs is surprising unless you are typing in 2.5 gigs
i remeber this happening before, it was in one discussion, so id suggest
1. making sure you have most up to date version
2. if you do, go ahead and toss it and download a new one.
3. if still no go, toss the prefs and reregister it again so you can clear any corruption of the prefs (if there is one)
typically you always get what output size you designate
