ok, i dnt if u can class this as off the topic but yeah, i need to remove a certian part of a dvd because it is damaged? is there any free ware out there tht will remove it or can i patch it up with any software?
can anyone help

Do you have the dvd already on your pc ?, and there are just sections that won't play or is it a bad disc.

what i mean is, it 2 play the 5 chapter, then it frezze's then goes bk to the first chapter, but all the other chapters work.

Sounds like a faulty disc to me, have you tried cleaning it ?

If the disc does not play and you have cleaned it, it is faulty take it back to the shop or buy a new one.

I remeber reading on here about people cleaning the disc with "Brasso"

try Dvd Decrypter, Smart Ripper, Dvd Shrink etc.. and if problem still persists, its a bad disk. -
I had a disk that was damaged. it was a CSI disk.
DVD Shrink could not re-author as it would fail at the same point. When I decoded using DVD Decryptor the fault was not there. Can't exlain why this was so. But it is worth you trying. However I suspect that if the disk is proper damaged then you have had it! -

Ok first of all its not my disk, the underneath of the dvd there is a Scratch, so wht I am asking here is there a way of removing the 5th chapter & keeping the rest of the dvd? Ive seen it done somewhere just cant remember where?

have you tried some cleaner? if it is scratched...you might be able to clean it enough to get the data off
