I admit that I don't do deep research on the forum on that subject, becuase I need quick answers. So forgive me if that question had asked befor.
My question is what is the best codec software that can play all the types of the media files such as: Divx, Xvid, the different types of MPGEs, Ogg files, .... etc.?

Well, unfortunately there's no viable "all-in-one" solution. Some people will tell you to use a codec pack, but many times this will cause problems down the road, especially when you try to uninstall all or part of it's components.
I would suggest that you install ffdshow to begin with here:

it can decode all of the major codecs such as XviD, DivX 3,4,5, etc. For Ogg media files, you will have to install the Ogg DirectShow filter available here:

And for MPEG2 playback, you will need an MPEG2 decoder. I would suggest that you simply use Media Player Classic for your player since it has it's own MPEG2 decoder.
