  1. I've made a dvdmpg from a svcd, authored and burned it with TMPGE DVD Author. When I try to watch it in my standalone dvd player (Philips 640) the sound works fine but the picture doesn't. i mean there is some sort of picture but it's all wrong and doesn't make any sense. I also tried to burn the dvd folder with nero and the result was the same. I have a nec 2500 dvd burner and i used a smartbuy dvd-rw. I have no idea when things went wrong. But when i try to play that dvd-rw in my computer it works fine. The picture is as it should be.

Does anyone have any ideas what should i do.

Have you used that same DVD-RW in the player before with success? If you have'nt tried it before now it sounds like a media compatibility issue with the player.

Ok then it sounds like it has something to do with the way the the files were encoded. For one reason or another your player does'nt like it. Maybe try transcoding and burning it with DVDShrink once. You never know it could help? Chances are it won't but it's worth a shot.
Otherwise try re-encoding the movie with TMPGenc once if you have it. If not download the free 30 day trial.
