I'll admit to being spoiled having used DVDShrink and TMPGEnc DVD Author since I have first started backing up my DVD's. I have a question about DVDDecrypter...all of the guides I've read have given me conflicting(at least to me) info...so I need to confirm.
If I use IFO mode in DVDDecrypter....can I use the VIDEO_TS folder it creates....add my own blank AUDIO_TS folder then burn?
I've previously used IFOEdit to create and ISO image of what DVDDecrypter created....but that was before I had my B's Recorder Gold software that can burn the AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folders as data.
Thanks in advance if you can help.

whould simply using DVDDecrypter in ISO read mode do? It will rip an ISO to your HD, then you use it again in ISO write mode to put on DVDr.
Of course it will have to fit. -
I need to use stream processing to remove the Philips menu from an RW(or even a straight R) disc. ISO mode copies the unwanted Philips menu.

P.S.
I hate anything +R but a friend from Europe sent me some PAL DVD+RW discs because all he had was a Philips stand alone DVD recorder."The eyes are the first thing that you have to destroy ... because they have seen too many bad things" - Lucio Fulci

This particular project needs to be on an RW disc and edited with Ulead Movie Factory 2 due to compatibility issues with the recipient of the DVD(ie...a pain in the ass DVD player).

The ORIGINAL question was:

DVD Decrypter in ifo mode does not rip a complete set of ifo files to your HD. You cannot burn the VIDEO_TS directory it creates. To open an old one,you don't need an AUDIO_TS folder.
You would need to use IFOEDIT to create a proper set of ifo files.
DVD2ONE upto Ver 1.3 will compress from an ifo rip,I don't think any other "compressor" will do that. -

It's best to watch the folder on the computer DVD player first and write down where you want the breaks....then type them in. Oh...and if it(DVD Author) asks you if you would like to let the program choose the correct place to insert the break after you've typed the time in....the answer is YES.
I've also heard of audio problems using DVDShrink while NOT using the original DVD's chapter markers for "start-end". For me this problem is hit or miss.
