MPEG CAN'T CONVERT BECAUSE OF VIDEO STREAMING! HELP

dOWNLOADED A MPEG FILE ,it plays in media player but when I try to burn in Nero it says it's video streaming and it also cant be converted in TMPGEnc because of 'VIDEO STREAMING'......click on properties and it tells me it's a MPEG movie file ...so HELP please whats going on!

Many, asf, wmv files are renamed to .mpg for some reason on the net. If it takes a second to buffer before it plays in WinMedaiPlayer, its a asf or wmv file... you need to convert it first. Actually rename it to .asf or .wmv first, then convert to .mpg

Renamed but still no joy....problem remains ,thanks anyway:}
