    Looking for a movie..
    Found D
    Found F
    Done Looking ...

now i didnt c&p all of it but just the part where the error comes in.
now before im refered to dvd shrink and nero i use that method also and got same partial burn results but an "illegal disc error"

now when i use dvd shrink and record now it WILL burn entire disc but the disc wont play in either of my players.

ive tried several different media with same result and even tried to backup an "original of course" that i had already copied once using the same madia and same software and same rig and now it wont back it up.
whew! i know this is long winded but i hope somebody will look at it and try to help me out if any more info is needed please let me know.
i would just like to know if anyone has run into any trouble of this kind before i try the drive in another rig.
thank you in advance for your help.

Incompatible format? What kind of discs are you using?

    Maybe the burner?
If you can, try another burner, and if that does it too, at has to be software related.
Or take it back to the shop and let them check it.
    Good luck.

    I also have a NEC ND-1300A but I am using firmware 1.09

The next version of the firmware after that is 1.0a and 1.0a is currently the most up-to-date ... at least to the best of my knowledge.

So my guess is that you only recently upgraded to 1.0a and have only experienced problems since then.

If this is true then perhaps you didn't do the firmware upgrade properly.

You might want to try and "update" to version 1.09 but I'm not sure how easy it is to go back from 1.0a to 1.09

    Might be worth checking into.
