    I just came from walmart (canada)and just found a DVD player from "Apex DVD/CD/MP3 Player With Component Video Outputs AD-3201" - This thing plays everything. And its only $129.93 Can. I cant even find this kind of features on the expensive DVD players. Is this the best DVD player? if not, what about for the price?

  2. well besides the fact that apex hardware sucks & the picture quality sucks, compared to other good & high-end players, then yes.

    i had an apex 500w, and the picture quality was too poor with dvd's..

    i have a sanyo dwm-370 and it is wayyy better than the apex.

    the only thing it wont play is xsvcd, and i think mini-dvd.. i'm not sure though

  3. Actually, the planned AD-7701 can play those plus DVD-A and SACD. So, if your criteria for "best" is the number of formats it can handle, then I believe the 3201 will be 'bested' by the 7701.

  4. Hey, where do you live? Where did you bought it? At only 130$ canadian, it's the best deal in the whole country! I want it sooooooooooo badly! I hope my Wal-Mart gets it soon! (I live in Quebec)

    jeex i thought that all DVD players all have the same video quality when u play DVD movies, but quality might be different if playing VCD's.

    It also plays everything including vcd that a friends Pioneer(Chipped) Player cant(& he paid £300+)
