Hello!
I need some help. I have a Celeron300A O/C'd to 450Mhz, and I have a Logitech quickcam 4000 Pro connected to it, running WinXP.
I have this machine setup as a security system. It runs some webcam software that has a built in webserver with the webcam site on it, so i can remotely monitor the shop, but i also have it setup as a motion detector, that when it senses motion, it e-mails my phone, and records a 30 second clip onto the hard drive.
My question is, what capturing settings should I use to give myself a good balance of capture quality, and reduced hard drive consumption? Right now, the default settings allow a good webcam stream, but when it captures, it really doesn't.... its pretty much a still image that jerks around a little, and thats it. My CPU usage while streaming (but without anyone connected) is about 60%-70%. I think i might just need to get some more power, but i'd like to milk this baby for all it is
Thanks!!!
