  1. Hello all,

I am outputting a file to .mpg using the DVD setting in the Adobe Mpeg Encoder in Premiere. I did change it so it is DVD multiplexing, 4200 Bitrate, and 50% encoder quality. Once the file size reaches 3.00 GB Adobe reads "Unable to write picture data to the output file". Adobe doesn't say anything about the file size, I know this b/c when I look at the resulting file, it is always 3.00 or 3.03 GB in windows explorer.

The hard drive this is going onto has over 60 gigs available.

I'm running XP w/ NTFS formats on all drives. I have other .avi files that I've produced from capture that are 20 and 30 gigs and they play fine.

Please advise why I am getting this error or help point me in the right direction.

I have 2 gigs of ram as well running on a top rate home built machine of mine.

    Thanks!
    Brad

  2. I have one update. I just ran another project to export via Adobe Mpeg Encoder. The same message came up and now the file size is 2.5 GB where it stopped at.

    Thanks

Is it possible that you have a bad frame??

What codec are you using for your .AVI??

  4. I'm not sure what codec i'm using. How do I check? All I do is go File>Capture>Movie in Adobe Premiere and everything has been left at default settings. Everything has worked fine in the past but i'm not sure if this is a new problem, or one thats always been there and I just never ran into it.

    Thanks
    Brad
