i have a file...i think it's encoded with divx...well there's a little blip in the file that screws up the video for a second. while playing the divx file the sound matches up after the blip but when ripping the audio from the file it jumps the blip so in effect the sound file gets shortened and when laying it over while encoding the sound is a couple of seconds off after that...is there any way to fix this apart from cutting the file in two and removing the screwed part of the video?

You can edit the audio file and silence the blip, then remux to the original video.
