I try to encode the movies to SVCD with the appropriate bitrate and I use the SVCD Template (NTSC) and use all settings reccomended on this site. (First time i have had a problem) I get "An Error occurred when audio was decoded" as an error.

The specs of the video are:

    1st video
    Video:
    576 X 320
    23 Frames per second
    Data Rate 137kbps
    Sample Size 24bit
    Compression DIVXMPG4 V3

    Audio:
    127kbps
    MPEG Layer 3

    2nd video
    Video:
    720 X 352
Frame Rate 24 frames per second
    Data Rate 116kbps
    Sample Size 24 bit
    Compression DivX codec

    Audio
    Bit Rate 128kbps
    MPEG Layer-3

  3. Heyho,

minimum datarate for a good VCD is 1500 !!! Not 115

    Try a Bitrate Calc !

  4. Does the datarate has anything to do with the audio error?
I thought the datarate was default from the SVCD template. I could be wrong.

It figures that I am so much of a geek that I didnt read the problems section at the bottom of the instructions.

If you get no audio, out of sync or bad audio try to convert the audio to wav before converting. Use virtualdub read here how to do it.

I used virtualdub and I am encoding now. I will let yall know if it works without problems.

Thanks for the prompt response to my question.
