My problem is that it will not pick up the DVD to burn. Now when I use a un burned DVD it will pick it up and im good to go. Was wondering if it might be a setting or something.. 2. Wouldn't a free tool like DVD Decrypter work for this? I haven't tried making a backup of a backup, doesn't seem logical since you should have the original. Unless of course its a copy of a friend's copy of a rental.

  3. Just wondering if its possible ... The original is fubar and is not a option. I let a friend hold the DVD over the weekend and cracked it.

  5. Sorry but I did a search "copy DVD copy to DVD" and did not find anything. If you could put up a link of a thread dealing with this would be most helpful

I also looked @ the last 3 pages posted and found Zero Zip Nada

    p.s.
All I want to know really is it DVDXCOPY that has a problem with copies of DVD to burn. If it yes then Ill do as the other member said and use DVD Decrypter

    Thanks

I've seen this problem before. I made a backup of a DVD with DVDXcopy, maybe the Gold version, I can't remember. It then wouldn't let me make a backup copy of the backup. For some reason it works now. Of course, I have also re-installed windows since then as well. Not sure if it's a bug or now. Try re-installing the program.
But like other's suggested, just rip the DVD with DVD Decryptor and burn the VIDEO_TS folder back to a DVD. That should get it for you.

  8. And the same question comes to my mind:

WHY NOT MAKE A COPY OF THE ORIGINAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  9. Using Nero or RecordNow Max, just pop in the backup into the reader and the blank into burner. Click on copy and you are away. I know RecordNow will copy on the fly...pretty sure Nero will too. Once an original is backed up once, there is no more encryption.

    Thats why =/ Dam Friends!

    P.S.

Once an original is backed up once, there is no more encryption.

Thanks I bet this is the problem. DVDXCOPY is looking for the encryption since there is no more enryption DVDXCOPY probably is stuck in a loop looking for it or something..

321 Studios, the author/owner of DVDXcopy and DVDXcopy Xpress is now being sued for supplying tools allowing you to copy encrypted DVDs. Their defense is:

You can not make a copy of the copy using their software.

Ths is how these tools were written!

Is that a good answer, Havek?

  13. DVD Decryptor is a better option in this situation anyway. ISO>Read ISO>Write. Minimum possibility for mess ups.
