  1. My goal was to make a DVD with a menu to select videoscenes and photos. I tried to achieve this in Pinnacle Studio 8. I like the relatively simple userinterface in Studio 8. The problem was that every time I let Studio 8 make a DVD (or image) it crashed after calculating (sometimes 95%) of the DVD (and this took hours) . So I switcht to Adobe Encore. I took a lot of time to built a project, but finaly I got everything the way I wanted it. Than Encore didn't wan't to recognize my DVD-burner (BTC) . So I let Encore make an Image. I could not burn this image with my Nero-software. So I downloaded DVD-encyptor and burned a DVD. This DVD (-RW) didn't play well in my DVD-player (a second wasn't recognized by the player at all). Finaly I copied the -RW to a +R with Nero and......it worked!!!
Does this sound familiair to anybody?

  2. Yes, sounds like your having a nightmare!

    I have had many too.

Try using TMPGenc and TMPGenc DVD Author, I have used these and created some stuff I am really pleased with. For actually editing the footage and creating the time line I used Windows Movie Maker, but I imagine you could use any of your software for that.
    ----Figured it out yet?
