On one of my kids VCD's the audio track gets screwed up about half way through - basically the sound is lost in all but the right surround channel (playing through a statndard Dobly pro logic setup).

I have extracted the video file onto my PC with Isobuster and want to repair the audio (e.g boost the gain in the "lost" audio or copy it back to the missing channels with something like Goldwave).

What's the best way of doing this ? I know I can extract the audio to a wav file and edit it, but how do I then sync it all back together to get an MPG file I can burn as a VCD ?

    Thanks

Encode your edited wav with tooLame to VCD audio spec mp2 (224 kbps, 44.1 kHz). Then mutliplex it with original m1v (mpeg 1 video) with TMPGEnc mpeg tools.
