is TBC for NTSC Only?

Hi,

would like to try a tbc but cant find any vcrs with it or a tbc box in New Zealand which is pal and have asked a few shops if they can get a vcr with tbc but they have no idea what tbc is let alone get any vcrs with it.

so my question is TBC for NTSC only and pal doesnt require tbc for correction?

You can get TBCs for PAL systems.

I don't know about integrated TBCs in VCRs, but DataVideo makes the TBC1000P. It's the the same thing I use except it's for PAL instead of NTSC. It runs about US$ 350.00.
