I think folk have been very restrained in their description of this overpriced, full of bugs, clumbsy warning ridden, pile of useless junk

I really feel sorry for the folk who paid $99 or more for this, when DVD Shrink knocks sox off it for free.

As mentioned above ... in the review, they used an old version of DVD Shrink, so it didn't compare like for like.

If you have it, dump it and join the mainstream, you may be able to offload it on EBay (loads of mugs there)... you wont be disappointed

You might want to make note that the version used in their test setup was DVD Shrink v. 1.3.1. This quality test is far outdated and makes your post useless.
If you take a look at the screnshot and the download link you can see DVD Shrink 3.1.1

BTW I'm pretty sure they did not use deep-analysis / second pass

Everybody's ego's are just too BIG! :P JK
Anyways, sometimes I kinda like posting questions in the forums, even though the answers might be some guide somewhere, just because I can get the answer faster using the forums.

sj022698 while I do agree that you should read some guides......

Don't let the guys on here get to you...its that your post sounds like my wife when she says something like "the car doesn't work"...the car has not "worked" twice...it was out of gas both times (too hard to find them smart + good looking I guess.... ), but I don't think I should have to remind her to look at the gas gauge once every 3 days either...or maybe I should since it's always my dumbass going to get the gas

when it gets to the second step it says "insert blank disk" so I do and hit start.....the problem is Macro Vision and I need a decrypter. Is this true?
I know you were just explaining your problem, but this tells everyone that you know nothing about backing up DVDs and that you just saw a program that said it would do it, you bought it and now you have a problem with it.

So anyway, ditch DVD Xcopy...if for no other reason other than their company is now advertising Game Xcopy....oh wow...a revelation...no not really, you still need a mod chip to play the games in a PS2 and XBox....you needed one before Game Xcopy...anyone can copy a game with DVD Decrypter for FREE!! Of course they don't mention anywhere on their website that you need a mod chip, they let you buy the software and find out on your own. So get yourself some good free software DVDshrink will do what you want, its free, its easy and will be better quality than Xcopy.

You will also run into a problem if you try to copy a copy of something originally backed up with Xcopy.

and by the way, typically I would be one of the guys ripping on the newbie also...just seems that I happen to be in a patient mood tonight...it doesn't happen often...

that site is a huge spyware infested site (cydoor is one of them), and that includes dialers if you aren't paying attention. BUT....in another section of that site is one of the top 10 places to find programs like IP scanners and other tools of mischief to even up with those spamming pricks
