I'm having some problems with one of my VCDs. It doesn't play if I use my DVD-ROM (using either WMP or WinDVD). All I get is an error or sometimes a complete crash of my application. However, if I use my CD burner, it plays perfectly.
I used VCDGear and transferred it onto my HD, and it works perfectly. However, if I reburn it back out using Nero, I get the same problem (i.e., playable with my CD burner, but not with my DVD-ROM).
I used TMPG, VDM, and VCDGear to fiddle around with the MPEG, but nothing seems to work.
All of my other VCDs (as well as my SVCDs and DVDs) work fine with my DVD-ROM, so I don't think it's related to hardware.
Does anyone know what's going on? Has this been talked about in the past, if yes, can someone give me the link to that thread (I tried searching for answers, but I came up with nothing)? TIA.
