Ok, I'm sure I'm missing something simple, and I have tried to search the boards and internet for an answer. When I preview video in Virtual Dub it looks like it is zoomed in by at least 4x. This doesn't effect it when I capture but it does bother me when I'm trying to make tracking adjustments on my VCR(I can't see the tracking bar). I'm using an older ATI 32mb All in Wonder card, I use the ATI TV program to do my adjustments now and then use Virtual Dub to do the actual capturing. It's not the end of the world but it is bugging me that it is so zoomed in, it wasn't like that when I first started using Virtual Dub. I have recently switched to the Pentium 4 optimized version of VD. I have tried to unistall and reinstall VD older and newer versions but it is stuck in this zoomed mode!
Thanks for any and all help!

close v-dub
use the v-dub auxsetup.exe and select "remove all v-dub entries from registry"
right away reboot"Each problem that I solved became a rule which served afterwards to solve other problems." - Rene Descartes (1596-1650) -
Ok, I tried what you said but still no luck, the video is still zoomed. Oh well, I am gonna have to redo my system soon anyway, that will hopefully fix it, thanks anyway for the advice!

Just a thought, but could it be that the video isn't really zoomed, but rather the preview pane isn't big enough to show the whole frame? Try making it smaller. Not sure which version you're using but on mine I just right click on the preview area and select 50%, 25% etc.
