I have a Liteon DVD burner and I want to be able to take region1 discs and convert to multiregion.I dont feel confident about messing around with firmware in case i knacker it up.What I would like to do is buy a cheap DVD reader to save the region1 disk to my hard drive using DVD decrypter then use DVD shrink to finish the process. So I would like to know if windows will let you have 2 DVD drives set to different regions(i should have mentioned i am in uk)to allow me to do this or if anyone has an easier method please let me know.
Many thanks

DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter both get rid of any region code for you automatically so once you have ripped it to your HD it is region free .
So you don't need to mess with any firmware .
Then when you burn to a dvd-r it is a region free copy .
