I am trying to use AutoGK to convert a couple of my DVDs to XviD. I follow the guide for using AutoGK but the results aren't right. The audio appears to be fine but the video is very jumpy. It looks like 30-50 frames are missing every second. I have tried all the different audio options but the results are the same. I did get it to work correctly on one of my first attempts but I must have loaded a codec or changed something that causes the problem. Has anyone else experienced this?
I suspect a faulty or conflicting codec. I'm about at the point where I am going to uninstall everything and start over unless I get some suggestions. Thanks in advance.

try xvid. try divx. try auto. try ac3 sound. try CBR mp3. try VbR mp3. try coke.
re-install divx and xvid then re-try. GEt latest version.Corned beef is now made to a higher standard than at any time in history.

Download the Gordan Know Codec Pack and just install the Xvid Codec from it. see if that helps.
Also I'd recommend you manually uninstall the current Xvid codec first. you could also try a manual uninstall and then reinstall the latest Xvid version instead of the one in the GK pack. I believe they changed the way the installer in the latest version works and recommended uninstalling the older versions manually first to avoid problems. -
autogk AFAIK installs the correct version of xvid. It requires 20030623? build ie middle of last summer not latest.
