    hello,

i have a question, in VCD 2.0 specification we can read:

For segment play items the following audio encodings became available:
    • Joint stereo, stereo or dual channel audio streams at 128, 192, 224 or 384 kbit/sec bit-rate.
    • Mono audio streams at 64, 96 or 192 kbit/sec bit-rate.

In what conditions is that possible or not. I'm trying VCD authoring, but i don't succed in that MPEG audio only ???

Ok, i give your more information:

I use VCD 2.0 toolkit for VCD authoring... this program is very strict for the assets you put, and filter/accept only files that follow "white Book 2.0"

I have no problem to put and read "MPEG video+audio" file, CD-DA track, "MPEG still pctures" for the menu. In case of mpa/mp2 the file is accepted, but not correctly reproduce by my DVD Player.

For encoding, i used TMPGEnc (stereo, MPEG1 layer 2, 224 Kbps, 44,1 Khz) . Even if i put the audio part of the Mpeg video+audio file, the resulting mpa file is correclty read in the PC and accepted by VCD2TK( in .mmd format), but not correctly restitute ???(same result with wav file)

    So my question :

How to use "MPEG audio only" file (mpa/mp2) in a VCD ???
It is accepted and supported by the VCD 2.0 spécification, but with any restriction ?

    Thank for your help
