Does anyone know of any decent quality low cost encoder cards. I don't care about capture, or real time. I'd like something that generates near or better quality compared to TMPGenc, but with less time to encode.
Now that I've sorted most of this out, I'm running into the problem of having more to encode, than I do the time to encode.
I've been doing some searching, but alot of what I'm seeing is high end, or capture cards. I think alot of the capture cards don't give you access to the encoder unless you're capturing. I want to be able to toss an AVI file at a card and encode it faster than I can with TMPGenc.
Anyone know of any that will do this?

I've seend cards like this for Mp3 so that older machines can cope with the decodeing/encoding. Dont see why they wouldnt have one out there for mpeg. Havent seen one yet tho.

Check out the Dazzle/FAST Video Creator II. Pretty darn good quality and about $240.
I have heard that there are serious A/V sync issues when it comes to editing with this device, but for converting and trimming off the ends, it does a great job.
