  1. please help!

    i have a video file which is missing some stuff in the middle. i want to add the missing bits into the middle of the main file! with the rest running fine afterwards!!

    Cheers.

    i have virtualdub and tmp enc atm! if not possible with these apps please recomend me some which will work!

    Well having never done this before and offer no guarantees but the process could proceed somthing like this.

    Split the movie where desired via TmpGenC(part1 and part2). You now have two mpeg files. Hopefully the second part stays in audio/video sync.
    Now you need to create one file that has as an order part1, inserted material, then part2. This can be done with TmpGenC via the merge / cut menu options.
    You need to mux part1 with new material, then repeat the process only using the part1+new material as file 1 then mux that with part2.
    Hopefully, the end product will be in sync all the way through. If not you may have to play with separating the original differently and then you must be sure that the new material is also completely in sync.
    Anyway, that is how I would attack the problem. Seems like a good homework exercise.

    Of course there are probably a dozen other ways to solve this problem and I am sure there are better ways. Be patient if there are other methods you will learn of them, here.
