    I have been trying to convert a compressed avi file to mpg file. using bbmpeg, for some reason the conversion rate is at less than 1fps. I'm using a 1GHz machine. The file is not big, it's only 110M at 320x240 resolution. anybody know why it's so slow?

    Just tried a convertion, and yes it's slow. have u tried vdub??
