  1. has anyone got this to work.
    I want to try burning a svcd disk after encoding it with the tmpgenc templates but how do I cut it with winoncd.
    it seems to not accept it.

    What are people using to cut mpeg2's onto a cd with full menuing system?

    Thanks for any assistance you can give?

  2. 1. Make an AVI file with Flask or s/t like that

    2. Cut it with VIRTUAL DUB

    3. Encode with TMPEG

    Thats it !

  3. Thanks for the reply

    I'm able to create the mpeg fine but its the cutting to the disc that I'm having problems with. What authoring program should I use for svcd files cos winoncd can't handle it

  4. Follow ultradna's advice. I know you are able to encode to svcd. The point is, try to do all your editing - cutting - trimming in the avi stage using virtualdub before you start encoding to svcd. That way you shall be saved many headches later.

    So the process from dvd would be like :
    DVD2AVI -> vfapiconv -> virtualdub -> tmpgenc.

    If source is in avi, then just virtualdub -> tmpgenc.

    But if you really need to cut try BBMPEG

  6. maybe I'm using the terminalogy all wrong here.

    I'm not trying to edit nor cut, I'm trying to "write" my mpg2 files to a svcd. What authoring program are people using to have nice animated menus. Winoncd allows you to have a mpg file which you can then associate menu selections of it. Nero can't do that? can it...
