  1. hello hello hello all, i have recently wanted to convert my movies from SVCD etc to DIVX to upload to xbox and play and i wanted to use the best compression so i looked up how to extract the movie in mpg form to hd and did that then i took all the mpg files and combined them using the dos prompt with command copy /b movie.mpg + movie1.mpg + movie2.mpg = output.mpg etc etc and it worked all fine the mpg plays and stuff on the computer but its super large 1.5 gig's so i need to make it divx so i got the MPEG-2 encoder version of virtual dub but when i load the output.mpg the final outputted movie in 1 file into virtual dub it only appears to load the first half of the movie which would be the first of the two or 3 etc mpegs so it only loads half the mpg even though the full movie is on it, and again the full movie does play on the regular mpg that is combined but won't show up in virtual dub, any suggestions?

  4. ok well i can convert 1 avi at a time but now like for some reason when i convert the first mpg it outputs a avi file that is just as big as that MPG if not bigger, and its only half the movie... im looking to make a SVCD rip that is the whole movie compressed to be about 700 or so megs when i convert just half the file it makes it 700 or so megs for just half is there a codec or method i should be using to be able to get the total movie to be 700 megs?
