The VCD that I made plays fine on my computer when I burn them but it will not show a picture when its in the dvd player. The Dvd player reads Vcd but just shows a blue screen. I'm using Video wave 4 and I have easy cd creator 5 (full version and have tryed many times but They want play in my dvd player which I know plays Vcds and I've used both imation cdr and memorex. Some one please help me Thanks.

  2. you are right. that player should take cdr/vcds fine (having a dual wave laser) (svcds and xvcds as well) i only use nero to burn vcds . it checks the mpeg for compliance before burning. i have some cds on crap media and they played fine on an apex and a panasonic.

if the vids you have were an iso type (bin/cue or iso or such) try extracting the mpeg with vcdgear (available in tools here) then dropping the mpeg(s) in nero (make sure it says they are 100% compliant - perhaps your player doesnt like 23.976 frame per second vids - make sure nero doesnt complain at ALL) and then burn them.... if that still doesnt work take your player back

I have the same player and especially with VCDs (as opposed to SVCDs) it will play about any media. If you don't mind buying something else, try ULEAD VideoMaker 5 with the DVD plugin. It's pretty simple and works every time.
