  1. I am confused. I found Silver Lacquer Taiyo Yuden CD-R's that says they are Thermal Inkjet Printable. Here is the ad..."PrintWrite Silver printable surface media designed for use with thermal inkjet CD R media printers, including Primera's Signature series". Does this mean that there cd's will work in my Epson R300?? Thank you

  2. No they will not work on your Epson. You can only use "Ink-Jet" prinatble surfaces, such as the ones, found on this link:

It sounds to me that they may have their terms confused. I would stay away from those disks unless you get more info about them. There should be no difference between piezo inkjet and thermal inkjet disks. There IS a HUGE difference between inkjet and thermal printing on disks, and sometimes the description gets mixed.
Hope is the trap the world sets for you every night when you go to sleep and the only reason you have to get up in the morning is the hope that this day, things will get better... But they never do, do they?

Thermal inkjet printers use heat as part of the process. The inks are repeatedly heated to create bubbles, which force the drops from the nozzles. Unlike piezo inkjets, which can be engineered for use with a wider variety of inks, all thermal-ink jet printers are drop-on-demand systems that use water-based inks.

In other word it will smudge and smear if you try and use, a non thermal printer, which the Epson R300, is not.

Thermal printers also use ink, that is where the confusion arises, I believe.
