    Hello Folks,
I was wondering if there is a MPEG2 editor that I can copy/paste a single frame manually? Mostly I have several videos that have a few corrupted frames on the original tapes. It's not dropped frames in the capture card. So I figure that maybe I could go to the frame before, copy and then paste the good frame onto the bad frame. Is there anything capable?

    Thanks...BTW...Cool Site

My suspicion is that you "can't" atlhough I've never tried. If your source were DV, there would be no problem. However, MPEG is compressed, so that you have a "real" frame (I-frame) every half second or 15 frames. Just from what I've read on this site, MPEG editing (even simple cuts and joins) is fraught with difficulties and probably should be avoided. Alternatively, you could convert to DV or Huffy, do your frame editing, and then reconvert to MPEG but you would lose quality.

If I'm wrong, I'd also be interested.
