When I try to encode an DV-AVI-Stream to mpg2 using TMPGEnc 2.5 with VBR exactly in the middle (50%) of the process TMPGEnc closes without any message. I'm using XP as OS, the Mainconcept DV-Codec and MSP7.01. What can I do?
Thanks, dlawedor

That happens when the codec doesn't support reverse seeking
properly. TNPGenc is trying to seek to the beginning of the file
for pass #2. Dunno whose fault that is. Try Panasonic or another codec -
Hello Foo ... but it worked with the Mainconcept Codec until 2 or 3 weeks ago ...

You might try frameserving the video through Vdub , or just
open with Vdub and see if it seeks in reverse
