Fastest Real Time DV to MPEG-1 or 2 Transcoder?!!!!!

Hello,

I have PIII 933MHz, 256Mb RAM, WIN200 OS. Can I make realtime DV to MPEG tramscoding with this machine. What is the fastest real time DV to MPEG transcoder (DV -> (mpeg)DVD or DV -> (mpeg)SVCD). Can anybody give me some help?!!!!

You will not get real time encoding with that spec of PC without some kind of hardware encoder card. I have a P4 3.06GHz with one gig of RAM and even I don't get real time encoding sometimes.

Look at some of the Canopus equipment for hardware encoding. www.canopus.com

If you can live without realtime encoding then there are some good transcoder programs out there. I have tried...
