Hello to you all,
i have the next question:
i have got two systems with same burners and readers
System1:
Pent4 1,8Ghz
256mb DDRam
NEC1300 Burner
Pioneer Reader
system2:
AMD 2200 (1,8Ghz)
256 mb DDRam
NEC1300 Burner
Pioneer reader
When i burn on system 1 it takes about 15 minutes to copy a dvd.
When i burn on system 2 it takes about 40 minutes to copy a dvd.
Both burn programs are nero6.
When i write a image system 1 writes the image between 5.000 and 12.000kb/s
But system 2 writes between 0.500 and 2.900kb/s!
How is this possible???

Not detailed enough. At first glance, I'd say media speed.

At first glance, this sounds like a DMA issue. Check to see if DMA is enabled on the IDE channels for your drives.

Dma is enabled i suppose.
i enabled the dma from the ide channels. After this he copied an image much faster. But copying from dvd to dvd still is very slow.
Are there some other settings i have to take care of?
Is there any difference between nero and easy cd creator?
I use memorex dvd's and they burn very fast in the first pc.
In the second one it won't work how it has to work!

If the speed issue remains now only on disk to disk, is the "on the fly" box ticked ? .... I think Nero 6 calls it "Quick Copy"
-
Yes thats enabled.
I think the problem is solved.
I have formatted my harddisk and installed Win ME. Then i installed nero with the best ISAPI i could found.
I Enabled DMA and the problem was solved.
I tried these things also with Windows SBS 2003 and it didn't worked.
