  1. Hi, I have a DVD burner and I just burned some data onto a DVD-R awhile ago. I just burned more data to the same disk and I can't see it with windows explorer or Roxio (the program I used to burn it). I've had this problem before with my CD-RW. That time (with my CD-RW) I burned data one time and burned more onto it later and I couldn't see the first data that I burned.

I tried putting the same data (the data I can't see on the DVD) back on to the disk but I says it's already there (it showed up on the 'add' part of roxio). Then I look in windows explorer and I still can't see it. Why is this?

    Thanks

  2. Because you have created a multisession disc.I think you can only see the most recent session in Windows Explorer. Other sessions are hidden so to speak.
Read the Roxio help files on "multisession". Also there is info all over the net on this topic and viewing the sessions on multisession discs.

    Regards.

I burned data (mpegs) to 2 DVD+R's (Memorex) in data mode in Easy CD Creator with a Memorex Dual Writer, and took it down to a friend of mine but his DVD drive (not a writer) but it would not read either DVD+R. Both DVDR's were finished and closed. I did not attempt to write on either a second time.

Is there a common reason why this might occur? I have not had a chance to go to a second friend's computer to see if his DVDRW writer will recognize it, but even if it does that won't tell me why the DVD ROM drive at my first friend's didn't recognize or read it.

Can anyone make any suggestions? I appreciate it. If you need more information, pls let me know. I don't know the make and model of my 1st friend's DVD Rom, but can find out.

So far this is the closest topic to my question, but am still looking for an answer in another topic... if this has already been answered, even a pointer would be helpful. Thanks!

  4. I did a restart and checked the DVD. I can now see all the files I put on it. I don't know if this (the restart) would correct this every time or not.

This was a single session which was closed, I didn't and haven't attempted to burn an additional session.
