getting PISSED at RecordNow Max! no burn speed control???

I am trying to burn 2 dvds at once using two DVD burners, and as soon as I select more than one drive to burn to, I lose the numerical control over burn speed and I get this stupid "Min" "Mid" "Max" choice, which doesn't even work.

No matter which of the three I set it at it always chooses 4X.

Is there any recourse for me?
