Hi gang,
My first post so I hope someone out be able to help me!
I am having issues setting up my new dvd recorder (namely the Panasonic DMRE60) with my two satellite boxes, tv and the video.
The problem I am encountering is that whilst the DVD Recorder performs the auto install correctly and finds all the channels (channels 1-5, sky
analogue and sky digital), i am only able to get both sound and picture
from the terrestrial channels 1-5. If I chose channel 6 (sky analaogue) or
channel 7 (sky digital), i get the picture but no sound.
Werid no?
What I then find is that if I first go to any of the terrestrial channels and then go to channel 6 or channel 7, i get sound! but if i scroll backwords and forwards through the channels it doesnt give me sound unless i visit one of the terrestrial channels first.
I have had the unit sent back and had a replacement one thinking it was the recorder itself, but it isnt. My two boxes are a Pace Prime and the digi
one is a Pace 2200. The video works a-ok with all channels displaying a
picture and sound. All channels via the television works fine.
Anyone shed any ideas, hints or otherwise, its very frustrating seeing that
i have just bought the item.
Thanks all.

Could be a bad cable. Try switching them out. I had a similar problem and pulled my hair out for a while, then tried a different cable.
