Sefy/All, Hi guys a weird problem here:
Blow Divx: 23.97 FPS,Audio:MP3-95kbs/s 44,100 stereo
Video Format: 576X248, 24bits,177477frames,23.976FPS 96kb/sec DIVXMPG4V3
PC: 256 RAM/1.3T-Bird/Win98SE
TMPGE - taking 24 hours to convert on NTSCfilm template and I am currently at 10%, Source position:45:39 remaining time:18:59. If 10% is already at 45:39 there will be a ton of blank black frames at the end of this file(WTF). I did the preview before starting and it shows the same thing, the movie takes about 20%of the scroll bar and the rest is blank black frames. Whats the deal here?
I just want to convert it to VCD and chop into 2 files to burn and play on the standalone.
I tried to do the AVI Chop bit but the resulting files won't play at least in DIVX format, I didn't try to TMPGE those yet....TIA for the help!

First thing you do!, convert that DivX into regular encoded AVI and WAV files, use VirtualDub to accomplish it, then use those two new files in TMPGEnc, and I promise you the speed will quadruple compared to what you did now.
Secondly, use the Source Range in TMPGEnc when you are encoding and select a start and end points instead of chopping/cutting the file later on.
Email me for faster replies!

I got the exact same problem...but also I loose all sound in the resulting MPEG2 file...
The avi movie plays fine in Windows with no blank frames and with sound.
Using the Nimo Pack.
