  1. Hello. I'm using Windows XP Home Edition on my HP Pavilion zt1135 PC notebook. Since it doesn't come with an IEEE 1394 port, I purchased a card at CompUSA. Here's my problem: when transferring my DV video from my Canon ZR60 camcorder onto Pinnacle Studio Version 8, the video captured comes with blinking horizontal pixelated interference stripes (looks like confetti). I tried using a different program, Ulead Video Studio 6 and Window Movie Maker, but I got the same pixelated video capture. Then, one of the CompUSA tech folks plugged the camera into another computer and the captured video looked fine. I even tried a new 1394 cord and got the same pixelated video. My computer has an Intel Celeron CPU, 1200MHz, 1.20 GHz, 224 MB of RAM. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance for your help.

  2. Can you post picture of it ? It sounds like some kind of PC/Card issue.

  3. Unfortunately, I didn't save a picture to post and I returned the card to the store. The video had blinking pixelated lines, looking like confetti was being sprinkled across the screen, rendering the captured video unusable. I considered purchasing a new card, but the CompUSA tech folks said it probably wasn't the card (and I didn't want to pay another 15 percent restocking fee if it wasn't the card). If it's my computer, is there anything I can do? Thanks.

  4. Buy new one at the store that doesn't charge 15% restocking fee
