There's an option in Zoom Player that lets you view incomplete AVi's. There's a shitload of settings to peruse so you'll find it under Filter Control>Settings. ZP is probably the best overall player in my opinion. I ditched Windows Media Player a long time ago.

When you open the player options you have to select "Advanced Mode". Once you have the advanced options enabled, click on "Filter Control" on the left hand side and you'll see the "Play Incomplete Avi's" option towards the bottom of the screen.

do u see the link to zoom player in his first post, or go the tools section of this site and download zoom player, i think u might have to find the pro version, because i had one as well and i didn't see that option

  8. If youre downloading a file through a .torrent, the chances are very very good you will not be able to preview that movie. The way torrents work is they download random bits of the data usually. Im only mentioning this because you said "cannot preview with avipreview" and "movie".
Thats one of the reasons im not a big fan of torrents.

  9. yep you have to have Pro version for those features to be enabled. works a lot better than AVIPreview.

The only problem is that the stuff needed to fully allow playback is at the 'arse end' on the avi, so you will only be able to play and stop - no RW or FF.
