Panasonic DVD-RV31K DVD-Video Player with MP3 Playback
Could someone possibly give me some ideas as to why I can play back a VCD or SVCD in my PC fine but when I play it in my Standalone it has a stuttering problem. It appears as though when there is little or no video image (Such as the beginning of a movie) the audio plays fine, but as soon as a video image comes on both the audio and video becomes jittery? The other thing I have noticed is when I press pause and then start it playing again it will play the video fine for about 5 seconds, then the screen goes black quickly and returns to the audio and video being jittery again.
I have made 1 successful VCD that plays in the Standalone. But for some reason I have not been able to recreate anything I did differently to make that one work.
I think it is a bitrate problem, although I do not know much about bitrates. I can’t remember but I think I once read somewhere that the max bitrate is 2600kbit/s total for SVCD. While using bbmpeg v1.24 beta 18 it tells me the following:
Multiplexing information
Video stream data rate : 401100 bytes/sec
(3208800 bits/sec)
Audio stream 1 data rate : 28000 bytes/sec
(224000 bits/sec)
Total data rate : 348600 bytes/sec
(2788800 bits/sec)
any ideas as how to make bbmpeg not go over 2600kbit/s??? Or am I way off and this isn’t the reason my standalone will not play these videos correctly????
