  1. Sup guys,
Thinking about ordering some Taiyos from Rima.com. Not sure if they are behind their products. How is their customer service and stuff. Any input appreciated.

  6. Rima is excellent! the best by far that I've found. And my Ritek G04's were 100% from them. However, with so many posted problems, it seems Ritek has serious QC issues, so I don't know if I'd chance Ritek again, until they get their act together. But if I were to get them again I would only get them from Rima as they have great customer service, so they'll take care of problems.

Honestly, with the recent sales, I've been grabbing the made in japan Maxell, TDK and Fuji(TY's) for about the same price(ok, the Fuji's haven't been as cheap- but still a deal for TY)

My last G04 orders from both RIMA and somewhere else (forget) were bad, about 10% or higher fail rate. Not good.

I'm using G03 right now and DVD+R for my 2nd-line discs.

    Always MXL for 1st-line ones.

  8. I bought 100 (came as 2 50 packs) of the ridata ritek 4x dvd-r g04 discs from rima a few months back a guess. And they wouldn't burn at 4x (well 80 percent of them wouldn't).. would lock up my burner and i'd have to reboot. BUT the burn never started.. it'd just get hung.. so i pretty much went through the whole 100 spindle burning at 2x.

I contacted RIMA and they were pretty cool.. offered to send me replacements.. but as I'm in Canada i didn't want to double pay duty. So i settled for a 10 dollar refund and they mailed me samples from another batch (which worked fine).

My current batch of riteks i got from blankmedia.ca (pretty much to avoid duty and UPS.. but i'm getting good at figuring how much this stuff comes to and if the price is close i'll just order Canadian). This batch wasn't listed as ridata and are pretty much unmarked with a shiny silver top.

They work fine. So if you're gona order from RIMA maybe order the actual RITEK shiny silver topped discs not the RIDATA sillver matte discs?

I dunno.. kinda sucks that ritek is having these problems. but I heard it was other companies listing ritek B grade media as A grade. I don't think RIDATA is actually part of RITEK, just a company the redistributes.

    thats my take on it.

    RIDATA is a RITEK BRAND.
    Not another copmany.

The shiny ones have more issues than the matte ones.

  11. 500 Ritek 4x white-top inkjet printables so far from RIMA and no problems.

Going through my latest 100pack order now, no problems.

Also, I have ordered TY white-top inkjet printable CD-Rs from them also and again, no problems.

100ct. case of DVD cases also. No problems.

Decided to go with Rima after reading the different negitives about Meritline and thier affiliates.

Never had to return anything, so I can not comment on that.

I advise all my friends who shop online(some are still scared to.)to shop there first.
