  4. Brasso is a brass (or other metal) polish. Search the forums here for Brasso and Armor and you'll find lots of references to people cleaning their DVDs with Brasso and Armor All. Seems to work.

  6. Try just doing a straight copy to your hard drive and then use something like DVD shrink on it there to decrypt it. DVDshrink can import DVD files on the hard drive if they are in a VIDEO_TS folder.
DVDdecrypter can only import files from an optical drive.
    Worth a shot.

  8. when i try to drag and drop the files to my hard drive, it does the BUP and IFO files no prob, but all the VOB files give me an error when i try to drag and drop them that says "Cannot create or replace VTS_....: File system error (-2147351799). What do i do? It seems impossible to get these freakin files off of this cd, but i know there is a way....any ideas whatsoever???

  9. I know I've done a direct copy of a DVD to hard drive in the past without a problem, but couldn't play the files because they were copy protected until I uncopy protected them.
I don't have this particular movie, so I can't test it out.
Probably something with that specific disc or that one specific VTS you are having trouble with.
Did you try Main movie only?
So I assume the Armor All didn't work?

Yeah i had that happen one time, i was trying to rip it with dvd shrink and it kept freezing at 86% and the dvd was new so i went and rented the dvd for free and it ripped no problem. I was only doing that becuase i was selling the original and wanted a copy of it...

I ripped rush hour 2 with no problem using dvd shrink, i just still frame all the extras and leave the movie as is

  17. had no probs with RH2. if you cannot find Brasso any automotive polish that does not scratch will work. i use a auto polish that is finer that a polishing compound (which is finer than a rubbing compound) but is not as fine as toothpaste on a disc that was totally scratch. after rubbing it out twice almost all the scratches were gone, and no new scractches introduced. DVD Decrypter ripped it in record time with no errors! i got the polish about 10 years ago from an auto store for a dollar (clearance item). use it to rub out my woodworking projects. works a lot better than steel wool or the new synthetics. and is NOT silicone-based.
also you might try a mag wheel polish. they do not scratch, and is more "gritty" than toothpaste. also i do not use armor-all or its like. good luck.

What the **** has that got to do with the topic?
If you can't help, don't post, or is that premise too much for you?

I very much agree with ... Will Hay ...

Let us help people ... not criticize people for different tastes in entertainment. I like Rush Hour 2 ... lots of good comedy.

Especially the scene where the American cop says ... " He wont be in Rush Hour 3"
