  1. is there a way to correct color of the mpg automatically? for instance, i have a very bad colored movie but the quality is good. can i copy the color palette from its dvdrip version and then paste it on the bad colored movie?

    no -- can't do that ...

    you would have to adjust colors and re-encode ...

    like with tmpgenc or procoder or virtualdubmod

  3. you have to adjust the color manually in tmpgenc? is there another way? there's no problem with re-encoding though.

    You could use the ACDSee filter with VirtualDubMod. It applies auto color correction. Results do vary though.
